I love working with people who are invested in getting to the root cause of their behaviors and who are called to discover their authentic selves and live out their truth. I have a passion for supporting adults and couples who are finding themselves repeating the same conflicts in relationships, facing new life transitions, navigating their sexuality, coping with anxiety, or living with the impact of trauma.
Many of my clients are seeking somatic therapy, turning to this modality when talk therapy alone has helped them gain self-awareness but hasn’t helped them cope any better or change their behaviors. My approach to therapy combines somatic and psychodynamic interventions along with core principles of developmental psychology. Using these tools, I work to not only support you in gaining awareness into your everyday self, but also to address the deeper factors that pull you into the same cycles again and again. Many clients choose to continue in sessions for months or years as we move from exploring the immediate symptoms to uncovering the threads that weave through their life.
First, we’ll observe your nervous system and somatic responses in real time to regulate your nervous system toward more calm and coherence. Then, I’ll support you in identifying your patterns and tracing them back to the past – to the very dynamics that created them. I work with what’s causing the symptoms, not just the symptoms themselves. When we address these unconscious blueprints, we can successfully interrupt the old stories and rhythms that have been running under the radar and take ownership of our lives.
My therapeutic style is direct but playful. I strive to create an attuned environment in each session where you’ll feel seen and heard in every step of your self-discovery, honoring your resilience in all that you’ve experienced. I’ll hold you in a warm, curious space, while challenging you to look at your deeper patterns. I notice the things that you don’t say but that you show in your body language, vocal tone, and micro-expressions: the non-verbal cues that give us a fuller picture of your self. I’ll bring in principles from my training in Rosen Method Bodywork, somatic Internal Family Systems, and conscious movement practices to support you in fuller embodiment.
Together, we’ll find out who you truly are underneath what’s held you back and bring your authentic self into the light.
