Welcome!

I’m Marquita Wright (she/her/hers), a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.

My Approach

My personal belief and therapeutic approach are that we are all striving to live more fulfilling lives and my goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you as we create new meaning and change in your life. As a therapist, I work to ensure that each person feels that all parts of them are seen, heard, acknowledged, and validated. By acknowledging all the fascinating parts of what makes you who you are, I believe we can create space for authenticity and inner congruency to thrive.

My clinical experience involves working with teens, adults, and survivors of various forms trauma, including sexual assault and domestic violence. My work consists of working with individuals who are processing grief, navigating PTSD-related symptoms, life transitions, relational difficulties, and internalized shame and guilt. I see individuals and change through an integrative lens, and utilize somatic therapy techniques, internal family systems, family systems, and existential/humanistic approaches.

Together, my goal is to help you understand how the intersectional parts of your identity not only impact how you navigate the world, but how it contributes to how you navigate your most intimate interpersonal relationships. I believe that we can unconsciously find ourselves engaging in patterns of connecting that may no longer serve us. Leading with compassion and vulnerability, I hope to provide a space for you to reconnect with yourself and the world around you.
