When I started my own therapy journey, I remember feeling afraid of what might happen or what I might discover about myself. What I learned over time is that therapy is less about dramatic revelations and much more about learning through conversation, curiosity, and connection. It’s talking with someone who is an unbiased presence in your life, someone who can help you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. I often describe therapy as taking a course on yourself. Instead of a professor, you have a collaborator who’s invested in helping you learn, grow, and feel a little less alone along the way.
As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I aim to be that collaborator. I work with adults, couples, and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, learning difficulties, and life transitions. I’m also passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ clients, including transgender and nonbinary individuals.
No matter who you are, I strive to create an affirming, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental space. While therapy can be challenging at times, I truly believe it should feel human. It’s a place where insight, growth, and laughter can coexist. Along the way, I’m here not only to explore what’s hard, but to celebrate your strengths and resilience. Also, to guide you in counting the wins you might not always give yourself credit for.
Let’s be honest: being a human is hard. So, why do it alone?
